DEF/BlueChem®/AUS32/ISO22241 now in UAE
"BlueChem Industries LLC" is established in 2010. In the same year we have introduced DEF/BlueChem® in the UAE market as an environment protection product. Since then we have a very humble growth as a small business owner. Our market is slowly picking up in the other GCC countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman and Qatar. As such there is no legislation introduced in any of the GCC countries on exhaust gas emissions. The pressure by environmental issues, we are responsible to make everyone aware the importance of DEF and its usage. EU legislation been introduced in 2006 that new commercial vehicles exceeding 3.5 tons must run with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. Most of the heavy vehicles are imported into GCC countries are from European countries. These vehicles are manufactured under the strict "Euro Norms" in their emissions, which means these vehicles will have the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. This System substantially reduces harmful Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions from the exhaust of Diesel Engines by converting it into harmless nitrogen and water through the use of a special catalytic converter and a non-explosive, non-toxic, non flammable, water based urea solution which is called BlueChem®/ DEF/AUS 32/AUS 40. This means the new trucks and buses comply with Euro 4 & 5 norms will be fitted with a DEF/BlueChem® tank as well as a fuel tank.
No major OEM who are already introduced the SCR system in their vehicle will not manufacture their heavy vehicles inferior to Euro4 standard after 2016. So, the future imports of any branded vehicle into GCC countries will have SCR system. "BlueChem Industries LLC" is already in support of the system and having a plan for expansion of our manufacturing facilities in other GCC countries in the near future.
